A good teacher is an idol to the students for learning, interact , self management, leading , conflict management , risk management, sacrificing and finally to serve the humanity. S/he acts as a landmark for the human life, source of inspirations in the learning and lifelong process.

1. The personality of the teacher is important. For example a person who sounds enthusiastic, full of energy, is well prepared and confident will instill more confidence in the children he/she teaches so that the students are more likely to pay attention to that teacher and learn from them. Dull, boring teachers who speak in monotones are more likely to put students to sleep.

2. It is a vital issue in the sense that the school must recognize characteristics of good teachers including personality and encourage all to follow the example of teachers whose performances are praised by the students.

From my childhood I have learnt the lesson that dedicated teachers only can inspire the students where morality,sinceity, honesty are the main issues.

Well, as a college teacher, I can safely say that we do influence student personality to various degrees. The most prominent influence on personality or value traits is by school teachers upto 12th grade (in my country) or their senior year. Thereafter, I expect that influence to diminish gradually.
