Dear all,

I am using Sequential mode in Zemax to simulate a simple system having a collimating lens and a focusing lens. However, between the two lenses, I add a Zernike standard phase element. The Normalization radius is the same of the radius of the gaussian beam employed as a source. However, using POP (Physical Optics Propagation) and observing the phase of the system I did not seem any modification in the phase regardless of the Zernike standard phase element. On the other hand, I see that the obtained wavefront and the PSF looks pretty reasonable. DO you have any idea why?

At the end of the day, I need to answer to the following question: given a lens system, a source and a set of Zernie modification, which is the resulting beam shape on the target.

Kind regards
