I am implanting G2P10 GRIN lenses for 2P Imaging, Ø1 mm and 3.400 mm long, to PRL mPFC; DV:-1.7. After the implantation I used superglue really carefully around the craniotomy and the lens in it, and some dental cement. Afterwards I built a well around it from dental cement a slightly bit higher than the lens. Lastly I put some kwik sil on the top. The problem is that some animals removing the solidified kwik sil and the lens all together.
I would like to ask for some advice, how did you protect your lenses? Thank you.

For extended periods of time, a GRIN lens should be stored in a "dry box" environment. This entails the use of a desiccant or heat source to prevent humidity from leaching the lens material.
