I have asked Researchgate if they could introduce a Poll question. To keep it simple it would only be one question.
The poll could be yes / no but up to 5 options to match the Likert 5 point scale.
So you could have one question that you can interact with as usual adding answers but it would also have up to 5 options to select for example - Strongly Disagree / Disagree / Neutral /Agree / Strongly Agree. However, it could also simply be a yes / no answer.
What does everyone think? would you use this tool? How would you use it? Also, what would be your concerns around this additional tool?

I think that this would be in line with the RG desire to use these question forums to get answers towards more targeted research. I hope they do it!
I think it would be useful. I emailed RG about integrating the question but haven't had a response. I thought that if I could get some support through a question then I could direct them to this thread and say x amount of people have said the option to have a polling / multiple choice question would be useful.

Will anyone out there benefit from a poll question as an addition to the current format.
A poll question would be really good for gathering peoples opinions on various potential answers / opinions / options.
I think if there is no further response to this question over the next week we can close it off.
