Since September 2017 I’ve been growing my own trees that I plan to plant in strategic locations: not near roads, houses, buildings but in areas where they can grow in peace and not be under threat of being cut down. Here’s a picture of one of my horse chestnuts.

Thanks for this lovely picture. You are right to be proud. To me, one option to enrich biodiversity and better the planet for the next generation is recycling.

I feel like we all have to do what we can going forward to better the plants and animals and look after the planet for future generations. It feels like we can’t rely on governments, but we can all do our bit. I’ll post up some more updates. With regards to planting trees and my sons inspired me so I’m going to do litter picking in my town atleast once a month. I’ll post my updates to here and hopefully inspire others to do the same and post there environmental activities.

Leave it to nature and intervene as little as possible.

Another option is the use of reusable bags trying to find the bags that I will reuse the most. Of course ideal solutions are the characteristic of an ideal world.

We have over seven billion people on the planet now, and only 2/3rd is not desert, and the total desert area is only 7 million square miles, so why not have each person/individual adopt and restore 70 acres?

And the rich countries like the USA, China, EU, etc. could help subsidize the poor, and we could use all of the useless annual military spending, instead fixing the environment, and helping us all convert from fossil fuels to a solar-electric world that way?

I have already restored 600 of the California desert acres so far, that you can see at http://www.ecoseeds.com/greatbasin.html and am working currently on 200 more, image attached. In addition, helped preserve 31 million desert acres overseas.

I think that the environmental issues on the planet are currently at the breaking point, so if we are remain satisfied, with only each individual and each of our countries making very minor improvements each day and each year, we will not get very far ahead of the big picture fast enough to save our civilizations?

I did an artwork-cartoon about this issue, also attached, when in 2011 the US Postal Service issued these ridiculous environmental postage stamps--and my response on my cartoon, was to remind us to think big, if we are going to be successful in making the necessary positive and massive changes in our ways of life?

It reminds me of a story that Peter Berg from Planet Drum Foundation in San Francisco, told me once, where the environmental group was out picking up styrofoam cups off the mowed lawn in the park, so Peter's reply was, "Why styrofoam cups, why lawns?"

Yes, no desert so far, but the deforestation of the UK has been enormous, and the conversion of native meadows to farmland has been devastating to your environment. So like myself, the Ecological Restoration of hundreds to thousands of hectares of forests and meadows could be a good lifetime personal goal?

Plus the salmon that used to spawn in your stream, the streams could be put back to rights, with ecological restoration of their banks, and cleaning up the waste water and sediment that flows into those streams and rivers?

Each of the world's streams and rivers in the future, need to flow so clear, that you can count the rocks at the bottom--that was a goal for a project in Haiti I was working on a few years ago.

Plus, you are very lucky to be living in the UK, and having your Manchester-born author, Saci Lloyd's blueprint for everyone to go on a carbon-diet in her book "Carbon Diaries 2015" that the UK could establish immediately, and that could act as a model for all of the rest of the world to follow? One of the most important books written so far this century, get it used for under $10, and we are already four years late implementing her plan!

And why be satisfied with only doing "what little I can"--Instead look for the pressure-points for the whole society, and use "what little I can" to change the direction of the whole Titanic that is about to hit the enormous iceberg, that calved off of the glacier prematurely due to Global Warming?

That is what putting Saci Lloyd's model for a carbon-diet in the UK would do, for example. Or breaking up the UK into five or six separate countries, so the Welsh and Scots and Irish can decide for themselves, which environmentally friendly path each want to take in the future? Or revegetating a riverbank with native plants--Something on a bigger scale, than "what little I can", which is you placing a severe limitation to your talents and potential, that I know each individual possesses?

As par my view we the human being are enter in the nature and try to use the nature for various purpose. If we really want to enrich biodiversity stop entering in side the nature and let's grow nature freely.

Simply things, out working my dog in the beautiful fields near my house, picking up any litter as I go:

So far we’ve planted 8 at a school, and 6 around our neighbourhood. We still have another 20 in pots, in the back garden that still require planting. However, I’ll have to plan carefully where I am going to plant them before hand i.e. away from homes, roads and heavy walked areas to prevent them from being trodden on.

Continued watering the Trees Today. They are seemingly bedding in well, although it is still a little early to tell. I will keep this thread updated.

i have collected from central government veterinary institute with some amount of cost

Planting trees in and around the house and spending time pouring water and putting some manure leads to a healthy environment which reduces harmful gases around, gives fresh air and provides shelter are the ways to enrich biodiversity.

As a very simple action, i am reducing the use of plastic bags.

Tariq Almaliky I agree. What methods have you seen your government or other governments implement to help the environment and biodiversity.

Avoiding chemicals in my garden (stitching plant purée as fertilizer and against unwished insects; I also use nim oil and garlic water) drove it an oasis for birds and bees because almost all neighbors use chemicals. I have a lot of earth worms. It's also because I eat what I grow such capuccina flowers and delicate original herbs that I never use chemical in the garden.
