I think this is an excellent idea and I want to share it with everyone on this platform and get your thoughts:
Instead of using Google use Ecosia the Profits they receive will be used to plant trees around the world.
So as you are are surfing the web, you‘re helping the environment.

All, thanks for your contributions. Obviously I thought the users of researchgate would like and adopt this, you’re an innovative and open minded bunch.
Having used it for a few days now, I would say it doesn’t necessarily have the same functionality as Google. However, the only way it will get better is if more people utilise it, which in turn funds it and they can continue to develop the tech as well as continue to plant the trees from the profit.
That sounds good. Its worth sharing so many other people can hear of it.
Genius idea. It gives me the feeling that I planting a tree somewhere in the world every time I touch my keyboard.
