I guess, the first question to answer is - is this a scientific problem or a problem of funding. If scientifically we are not able to analyse this amount of data at this time point, to me makes no sense to store it now at higher sequencing and storage prices. Therefore storage of DNA in biobanks is the better option until technology gets developed enough. If it is a financial problem, i.e. scientific questions are clear, computers and storage are good enough but we are not funded well, this is a message for changing funding priority at the moment.
