I synthesized a zinc oxide nano-particle i have checked but it could not dissolved in DMSO. i want to know the genuine reason and some authentic solution.
Why do you think that ZnO is soluble in DMSO? ZnO is an insoluble oxide and can be only dispersed in solvents like water but not dissolved. If you really want to dissolve ZnO, you can add an acidic solution to it but you no longer have ZnO NPs. Suspending specific NPs in a solvent is different from dissolving it. Therefore we should not use the term of NPs solution but rather NPs suspension. Some NPs can be easily suspended in highly polar solvents but not in solvents with low polarity which depends on the surface nature of the NPs.
I have tried dissolving iron oxide and nickel oxide on distilled water and it worked pretty well for me. Perhaps you can try other solvents instead of DMSO?
