Can anyone tell me how I can control the effect of confounders in the association between two variables? The independent variable of my study is non-normal, and the dependent variable is normally distributed. Both are continuous variables. I ran spearmann correlation for association. I cannot run partial correlation as it is for a normally distributed variable.

What should I do?
