I am working on powder metallurgy, and during the compaction process, the powder does not pelletize and remains in its powder form. To address this issue, I am considering using binders to improve the compaction process.
Are you utilizing uniaxial pressing or Cold Isostatic Pressing? What is the maximum pressure you have applied?
Any organic binder is suitable like Polyvinyl Alcohol or Poly Ehylene Glycol is suitable for this case. Please control the amount used to avoid slurry formation. Since the density of Zinc alloys is around 6 gm/cm^3, use 1 ml for 2 mol gm of your alloy powder and add more if need be.
