Is it related to the charge of S. aureus biofilm which has weak negative charges due to the presence of D-alanine esters in their teichoic acids? 

Both S. aureus and P. aeruginosa strains were strong biofilm formers. They had been grown in the same conditions and tested in one run with the same experiment conditions. Anti-biofilm activity of AgNPs was investigated by Calgary device- MBEC!
