I'm transferring graphene to a glass microscope slide using electrostatics, following methods in the literature. I notice a very small D peak around 1360 cm-1, and an extremely narrow and well defined G peak at 1610-1615 cm-1. However, this could also be interpreted as a D' peak.
I'd be surprised if the D peak and G peak are both absent, and are replaced by a single D' peak. Is there a physical interpretation for these results, such as strain followed by relaxation, or maybe doping?

I'm not familiar with graphene on glass, but in general doping and strain tend to shift both G and 2D peak positions from their "free-standing" point ~(1581;2671) cm-1. It would be great if the spectrum can be shown. It is unlikely that both the D and G-bands disappear after transfer, so you may observe something else other than the graphene. To confirm the signal from the graphene or not, due to strain or not, 2D-band should be carefully analysed.
