In the paper entitled "Development and Research Progress of Anti-Drug Resistant Bacteria Drugs" by Xiangyi Cui, Yuhong Lü, and Changwu Yue--under the subtitle "Other Therapies", it is stated that the phage nanoparticles are called as "Trojan Horse". I was wondering why it was referred to as such because these "Trojan Horse" nanoparticles dramatically minimize drug blockage by biofilms and drug transporters and are utilized as a drug surface coating agent to enable the drug permeate the outer membrane of GNB and be released. It has caught my attention as there is optimism that these drugs that had previously lost their antibacterial activity against drug-resistant bacteria would once again play a part in killing these germs when certain bacteriophages with "Trojan Horse" nanoparticles are used in conjunction with antibiotics.
