I need help on my Antimycin A treatment protocol. I want to treat c2c12 cells with Antimycin A (AMA) which is an inhibitor of mitochondrial electron transport chain. During AMA incubation, which type of medium is appropriate to use; medium containing fetal calf serum or medium without serum? I read somewhere that “serum albumin was capable of restoring sucinate oxidation in vitro in tissues which had been inhibited by antimycin.” So, which one do you suggest ?
