Solvents  for taking NMR of amino acid  if compd. is soluble in CDCl3 then use it otherwise DMSO-d6 is better solvent for NMR.

Sara, you may take two spectra, one before exchange and one after exchange and compare.

You can tray with the solvent mixtures D2O:CD2OD or D2O:CD3CN.

Go with deuterated H2O/DMSO/CHCl3.

But the fact is amino acid is not soluble in CDCL3 as well as DMSO-D6. Some are not soluble in D2O also.
