Which software is more appropriate for fatigue analysis of hybrid structures (composite and metallic): ANSYS, MSC Nastran Patran or Abacus?
We want to simulate composite (CFRP or GFRP) bonded to aluminum with an adhesive and also composite (CFRP or GFRP) joined to aluminum with rivets.
Which of the aforementioned software packages would simulate better these hybrid structures and/or the adhesive bonding?

To my knowledge, none of the available softwares are able to reliably predict the fatigue behavior of composites, given the stacking sequence.
I would second Pr. D'amore. I do not specialize on the application of FEM to fatigue of composites, but as far as I know, reliable fatigue life prediction by FEM without prior information on the fatigue behavior of the materials or thorough statistical distribution of constituents material properties in conjunction to multi-scale modelling is not yet achievable. And even then, considering the complex and stochastic nature of fatigue in composites, doubts remain.
I would be happy to be proven wrong though...
