After careful search, I have not been able to find any reference reporting mechanical relaxations/internal friction phenomena for 6061 and 6082 (AlMgSi) alloys. I would appreciate very much if somebody could tell me good references on this topic that I might have overlooked. Thank you very much!
Start with two papers:
1. C.Y. Xie, E.Carreno-Morelli, R. Schaller, Low frequency internal friction associated with precipitation in AlMgSi alloys, Scripta Mat. 39, 225-230 (1998).
Dislocation related internal friction peak is observed at around 420 K in 6082.
