I am interested in the effect of different nucleases on G-quadruplex DNA.

I see examples in the literature where exonucleases or endonucleases release G-rich sequence which consequently form G-quadruplex.

However, other reported G-quadruplex-based technologies rely on S1 nuclease or DNAse 1 to cleave the formed G-quadruplex.

So, what trend in these different nucleases that would correlate with the ability to cleave G-quadruplex ?
