I suggest you do immunohistochemistry. Because compared to the western blot that has the advantage of showing the molecular weight, immunohistochemistry mainly shows the cellular localization, the tissue distribution, in addition you can quantify the immunohistochemical signal. Good luck
The main difference is that western blot provides separation of proteins based on size. That way, proteins can be quantified even if the primary antibody has non-specific binding to other epitopes (which results in bands corresponding to other molecular weights). The downside is that the method is time consuming and a bit hard to master. ELISA, on the other hand, is quick and easy but not very useful unless the primary antibody is really specific. If i am in your place go with western.
