I am looking for metastatic cancer cell lines which are compatible with the C57/bl6 background. I have already used the B16 (melanoma), the MMTV-PyMT and E0071 (breast).

depending on what it is your goal, you can use either the Panc02 or 6606PDA (pancreatic adenocarcinoma), MOVCAR (ovarian carcinoma), LLC1 (Lewis lung carcinoma), MOC (oral cancer) if you want to establish a solid tumour, or the EL4 and YAC-1 (T-lymphoma), P815 (mastocytoma) if you want an haematopoietic cancer. There are several other tumour cell lines suitable for the C57/BL6 background, just take a look to the ATCC or other public databases.

Do you have experience working with any of the ones you mentioned?
Marco, I was involved in taking part to some in vivo experiments, using both Panc02 and LLC1, some years ago. You can find the experimental data and very nice results in Mazzone M et al, Cell, 2009 and subsequent papers of the same group. If your goal is to get metastases, I suggest you to use the Panc02 model, as this tumour grows and metastasizes aggressively.

In addition to the already mentioned LLC and Panc02 you can also use the Colon 38 (colon cancer) model. However, this model is not very metastatic, relatively slow growing and very necrotic. LLC and Panc02 metastasize, sometimes better when you implant it subcutaneously, let it grow and take it out.. See attachment for some papers using these models
From my experience LLC1 cells are the best metastatic line. Here are my papers.

Hi Marco. We've been using MOVCAR cell lines isolated from MISIIR-TAg mice. The mice develop spontaneous ovarian tumors. MOVCARs are extremely metastatic when injected into ovaries or intraperitoneally. Here are some papers:

Just to round out this really useful thread, can you suggest non-metastatic lines to pair and compare with? That is, what non-metastatic breast cancer line would go with the E0771 or what non-metastatic pancreatic cancer line would go with the Panc02?
