Could anyone suggest the best commercially available microbe gDNA extraction kit ? We would like to extract the microbe gDNA from mouse lung tissues and stool samples for downstream microbiome sequencing. Its bit confusing as some of the kits are only designed to extract gDNA from mammalian tissues won't serve our purpose.
I understand there are kits specifically designed for stool samples, but if we could use the same kit for both lung tissues as well as for stool samples, that would be great. Would also be great if the kit is compatible or the tissue homogenisation step can be performed with gentleMACS dissociator instead of bead beating.

You may please try with Qiamp DNA stool mini kit or Qiamp blood DNA mini kit (Qiagen) for total bacterial genomic DNA isolation
