I have worked in the past with an antibody called T15 it detects the antibodies against oxidized phosphorylcholine. We performed immunohisto and it worked well in our hands. It is located on the matrix. I have not tried it on isolated matrix yet. We published a paper where we used this antibody in 2007 (AJP - Heart September 2007 vol. 293 no. 3 H1432-H1441). I am aware of other antibodies detecting autoantibodies but only in the lipid peroxidation field.
Fibroblast secrets extracellular matrix in cell culture plate or on cover slip.you could use the cover slip with cultured fibroblast as antigen to detection of extracellular matrix specific antibody by indirect immunofluorescence (IFA) technique. you could also use a piece of rat foot pad skin as antigen in your IFA technique(another alternative ).
I think there is a big similarity between mammals in their extracellular matrix components but for more assure you could use foreskin derived fibroblast or human fibroblast cell line.
