My research is focused on the development of a mouse model for T2DM complications. Currently, I am investigating the methods which may be used to identify or confirm the presence of 5 major complications: nephropathy, retinopathy, cardiomyopathy, neuropathy, and foot disease/diabetic foot, in my mouse model. This may be in the form of biomarkers present in blood or any other test that is viable and accurate. Considerations for the tests are based on availability of resources to undertake the presented assessments as well as cost factor. All contributions will be greatly appreciated.
