There has been a widespread emergence of antibiotic resistance across microbial communities including both pathogens and nonpathogens. Apparently, the ability to develop resistance is in-built in the genetic machinery of the microbes as they needed to protect themselves during the course of evolution. This implies that resistance will emerge against an antibiotic from microbes sooner or later. Thus there appears to be need to look into the perpetual emergence of antibiotic resistance in microbes and its remedies.
