I'm recording capsaicin evoked mEPSCs in dorsal horn slices and I'm curious which pain terminals these originate from.  I gather from the literature that TRPV1 receptors are mostly expressed in C-fibers but to what extent are they expressed in A-delta fibers?  There seems to be special cases where they are expressed in A-delta and dorsal horn neurons themselves, but is it generally safe to say that TRPV1 is predominantly in C-fibers?  Also, any input as to which subclass of C-fibers have the most TRPV1 (e.g., peptidergin vs non-peptidergic) would be helpful.
