I am currently working on modeling FCC catalyst regeneration and have come across a point of uncertainty that I hope you can assist me with.

In my previous models, I have utilized lumped kinetics for the combustion reactions and included a parameter to distinguish between the formation of CO and CO2, based on temperature. This approach was informed by literature I have reviewed.

However, as I transition to using distinguishing kinetics for these reactions, I am uncertain whether the inclusion of this temperature-based parameter is still necessary.

Could you please anyone provide some guidance on whether this parameter remains necessary when using distinguishing kinetics? Any insights or references you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
