We usually use nitrocellulose with 0,45 µm from Bio-Rad. We'll immobilize antibodies to make sandwich assay. What membranes with high protein capacity do you know?
I have had very good luck with Invitrogen's (now Life tech.) nitrocellulose and PVDF blot papers. Both the 0.2 and 0.45 work well, I switch between the two depending on the hydrophobicity of the protein.
Kamil, we do dot blot immunoassay, so we adsorb proteins directly on nitrocellulose and than do immunoassay. You are right we just want to try different membranes.
I have good experience with PVDF membrane too, I usually get better results (lower background signal) than with the nitrocellulose one. We use the PVDF membrane 45 um from BioRAD...
