Thanks for your replies, Adejoke Yetunde Onaolapo and Olakunle J Onaolapo. it is a Monosynaptic tracing. so it is not a staining, just GFP expressed. normally we could get a clear and scattered shape of the axon and neuron mophyology, but in picture it is blur and concentrated. so i think it maybe a special neuron different from glutamatergic or PV or chat. or Dopaminergic neuron. so it is sattlate cell or basket cell, we don't know.

Michel has a point. I think they are glial cells (either astrocytes or microglia). You can find out by using appropriate double labelling. I don't think such diffuse GFP labelling of glial cells is a synaptic labelling. It is more likely that the glial cells (astrocytes or activated microglia) clearing the debris are labelled non-synaptically. I see similar labelling of activated microglia from dye-filled individual neurons after treatments such as blocking inhibitory synaptic transmission. Please see Fig 9 in paper below.

Good advice above from Refik and Michael, especially regarding additional immunostaining. How long did you wait post-transfection? I believe the degree of glial labeling due to scavenging of labeled tissue would increase with time. Have you looked for studies of rabies infecting glial cells?

And if they are astrocytes, it's novel for me, astrocytes have long projections (~2 mm) between different brain region. and there is no other type GFP-label cell in same brain region

'' This opinion is very interesting,i only find two area have this 'glial-like' cell. Another one located in brainstem. so this gial must be very special to intake the cellular debris (long degenerated axon?). Because in the injection site and high density of GFP labeled brain region, there is no this type GFP-label cell.
although i am not studying the circuits in PH and glial cell- related projection in brain. All opinion, list above, is very impressive.
