I am researching about the resilient factor on buildings. Can you include the resilient concept into the buildings design? I would like to know if exist any research about resilient factor on buildings design and how material would have a resilient behavior on them?
Hi Rolando, I have been watching with interest to see what type of answers you might get to this. As you will be aware there are a large number of variables that apply within the broad context of your question but I'll throw a few balls in the air:
Neither extracted bituminous nor metallic materials are renewable and would therefore require no growth/decline within our global construction arena to allow recycling to make any noticeable impact on mining of virgin materials.
Surely the context of their use - comparing each within a situation of comparable use - would need to be defined.
I conclude with a question: Would not applicable resilience factors be also influenced by such a factor as location: global/local?
obviously,light metals like aluminium are more resilent and environmental friendly when compared to bitumen but the context in which u would use these materials is not clear.
