Hello all, I have been working on in-silico analysis of plant TFs. I found that there is a numbering after each TF like OsWRKY1, TaDREB15, etc. I am not able to find out how to assign these numbering (1 and 15)?
These TFs you are talking about are characterized and published. These or similar others were identified and defined by the authors in their research article. Thus, you need to go through the original article if you want to get deeper information.
I can't say what is good or best, But I see published articles on TFs Family Most of the researchers follows the short form of the scientific name of Crop Like AT for Arabidopsis thaliana. To incode there by the number you need to submit somewhere or in the article with their original genome id. As AT2G23320.2 =incode AtWRKY15.Those who report for the first time have full right to nominate their number. or shortcode.
