I have synthesized chitosan nanoparticles. And I'm looking for an alternative method for freeze drying, in order to remove the solvent and obtain dried chitosan nanoparticles.
if your experiment needs to dried nanoparticles, you can try to make centrifugation above 12.000 rpm for 1h then use oven with suitable temp to dry it. or you can use vacuum filtration to obtain your particles on filter paper. in addition there is spray dryer technology
Hi Akshata you can use thaw drying in which you have freeze the sample in -20 degree and thaw at room temperature. Repeat the same process multiple times until your nanoparticles are dried or you can go with vaccum drying at 35-40 degrees as well.
Hi, You can also try solvent exchange for drying by using a water-miscible solvent that should be nonsolvent (eg. alcohol) for chitosan, giving gradient treatment of the same followed by air or oven drying.
