Mean pore size of tissue engineered scaffold plays a vital role in cell activity(eg. Infiltration of cells into the scaffold, proliferation etc)which in turn is dependent on cell type. In order to optimise electrospinning parameters to produce a viable scaffold for culturing human embryonic stem cells, the mean pore size would serve as a optimisation target to predict cell activity.

However, I still went along with citing the datasheet, so thank you again.
Dr. Frank T. Edelmann , your suggested articles were more on mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) which falls under adult stem cells, are multipotent and commonly isolated from bone marrows. In contrast, it seems that human embryonic stem cells (ESC) are pluripotent and isolated from blastocyst. These together caused the concern whether I should generalise both stem cells. Admittedly, more research were reported with MSCs as compared to ESCs, especially in terms of mean pore size for cell differentiation (eg. chondrocytes, osteoblasts, adipocytes). However, the articles you shared have allowed me to venture into other articles from their references and I found that ESCs tend to differentiate into the haemopoeitic lineage with pore size

Embryonic stem cells (ES cells or ESCs) are pluripotent stem cells derived from the inner cell mass of a blastocyst, an early-stage pre-implantation embryo. Human embryos reach the blastocyst stage 4–5 days post fertilization, at which time they consist of 50–150 cells. Isolating the embryoblast, or inner cell mass (ICM) results in destruction of the blastocyst, a process which raises ethical issues, including whether or not embryos at the pre-implantation stage should have the same moral considerations as embryos in the post-implantation stage of development.
Due to their extensive self-renewal and multilineage differentiation capacity, human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) have great potential for studying developmental biology, disease modeling, and developing cell replacement therapy. The cells can be cultured in NutriStem medium under hypoxic conditions and subcultured every 4–5 days when their colonies reached optimal size.
Size:
Biophysical correlation color maps is suitable for measuring unsorted and sorted ESCs. 11.5 μm gap can be chosen as an optimal intermediate gap size based on ESC size. As the gap size increase above 11.5 μm , the fraction of cells experiencing strain (gray shading) decreased. Beyond, 11.5 μm gap caused device clogging, 11.5 μm gap is optimal.
