C2C12 cells on reaching desired confluency, are supplemented with differnetiation medium containing insulin. I wonder what is the role of insulin in myogenesis of C2C12 cells.

I would suggest to look for Insulin receptor expression in myocardial cells to predict a protein anabolic or glucose uptake effect. If they do express the protein anabolism and glu update should be expected.
