ZnO nanoparticles were prepared by green method.i just chechked dyedegradation activity of zno.it has good catalytic activity in the absence of light.actually what is the mechanism behind it.Absence of sunliht how the degradtion of dye possible ...how we can explian it ..................plz answer this question...plz
Actually ZnO nanoparticles have a good dye absorption capacity. If you are going to check the photo dye degradation with ZnO nanoparticle, you may have to give around 30 minutes for the absorption equilibrium. After that take the sample as the initial and do your study with sunlight irradiation.
i am not doing photocatalytic study, when the amount of zno nanoparticles increased the colour of the solution is decreased but it is not degrading then sodium borohydride it declourised.if i increases the amount of nanoparticles with sodium borohydride then decolorisation will be faster or same rate.plz answer this question also
