What is the meaning of having high out-degree score but low betweenness centrality for a specific node?

Dear all,

I have been trying to perform co-occurance analysis for human gut microbiota. When analysed, I have found some taxa have high out-degree score but low between centrality value. Does this mean those taxa are redundant even though they have high out-degree score?
