Could you please let me know whether FBS could inhibit the degranulation of eosinophils, mast cells and neutrophils?
As I saw in some reports, FBS could inhibit eosinophil degranulation. Is it a common finding?
Could I replace FBS by bovine serum albumin for culturing eosinophils and for degranulation assay?

In the case of human neutrophils, no BSA or albumin needs to be in buffer/media. Just use KRPG as media. Best data is from freshly isolated neutrophils (Ficol-histo.) Then perform your degranulation assay over the next ~6 hours. Are you stimulating or spontaneous? Spontaneous is going to vary a lot in humans.
I only know about mast cells, there is no problem in degranulation in presence of medium + FBS.
