In the literature, LNCap is lymph node metastasis cell line obtained from Caucasian male and LNCaP-LN-3 is metastatic subline of LNCaP cells derived by orthotopic implantation.

I want to know the difference between two cell lines. Most of prostate cancer model mentioned in the literature is made using LNCaP cell line.

In our laboratory we have LNCaP-LN-3 cell line.

Can prostate cancer model be made using LNCAP-LN-3 cell line? and it will be the same with LNCaP?

Previously we couldn't able to develop tumor model in nude mice using LNCaP-LN-3

any insight is highly appreciated,

Regards,
