Science is three types - abstract, social, and natural. Abstract science is the study of relationship of magnitude and numbers, e.g., mathematics, statistics, etc. Social science is the study of social activities of man based on traditions and reasoning, e.g., sociology, political science, economics, geography, and so on. Natural science is also called basic science – is the study of facts of the nature. Natural science is two types - physical and biological. Physical science is the study of nonliving beings and natural phenomena governed by a set of laws, e.g., physics, chemistry, geology, astronomy, meteorology, metallurgy, and so on. Biological science is also called life science or biology – is the study of living beings. But what did you ask is the difference between life science and biological science? If a similarity has to be searched then both are same but if distiction is made between the two then life science is the study of life on the Earth and biological science is the study of life and its aspects on the Earth.
Thanks for your explanation. But I have another query. If I did my M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Zoology, then am I eligible for the applying of the post of Life Science or Biological Science?
