Hi, in my experience, IL-10 is a Th2 typical cytokine, and one of its main function is to supress the production of other cytokines and block macrophage activation. That's just what we don't want for CL....in a murine model we can clearly see that. But in humans we have a more complex balance in which we can see Th1 and Th2 cytokines countinreacting for a disease outcome resulting healing.
