Does anybody know examples of inverse template effect, particularly with respect to crown ethers and metal ions or at least for other host-guest systems?

I need to know whether ''matched" guest cations have ever suppressed the formation of the respective crown ethers or other supramolecular hosts (I mean, has anybody seen the exact opposite trend one usually expects to see with matched guests?)
