A chiller which is condensed using air and works with a screw compressor has not been working to the expected efficiency. Mostly because of an increased temperature in the summer. One way is to install a heat exchanger passing through the outlet of the evaporator and condenser. Will this actually increase the efficiency? The refrigerant is R134A, and volume of water being cooled in the evaporator is 400 m^3. Normally we want the water to be cooled from 14 to 9 but it just reduced the temperature to 12.

I would appreciate a direct calculation of heat transfer of a heat exchanger if we installed one.

I am open to any other suggestions in this regards.
