I have a rotifer culture and i want to gather the dormant eggs to use later. Because sometimes we encounter different problems such as contamination, elevation environmental conditions. To hinder this problem, keeping of the eggs best way to use them later without contaminations.
Always use new, unexpired saline solutions (don't let anyone else have access) and keep the filters clean. Collect the eggs in a clean sterile net then dry and purify :)
Various methods have been tested- indoor tanks and outdoor systems; algae combined with yeast and emulsified oil
Some constant factors to take note of:
Outdoor cultures must be limited to warmer months; tanks, and other equipments must be sterilized before usage; temperature at 24-26 degrees Celsius; fluorescent light supply of 40-watts
