I have prepared lysis buffer containing tris HCl, EDTA and SDS what is the best temperature to prevent it from pH shifting and reuse it.

50mM tris HCL
20mM EDTA
10mM Nacl
2% SDS.

I have stored similar buffers at room temperature for years and they still work OK! And at 4oC there is a good chance that the SDS will come out of solution.
The NaCl concentration seems rather low for a lysis buffer: 100mM or 200mM are more usual.
Means it should be stored at room temperature.
