I have searched in a litrerure for a protocol to induce stress and inflammation with LPS in Sprague dawely rats in colonic and intestinal tissues( , but l mostly eaither found protocols for general induction of systemic inflammation including cardiac or neuro tissue not specifically for GI, or a protocol for mice specifically for GI, so could I use the same protocol that was used in litreature for induction of inflammation systemically and tge cytokines were measured in tissue other than gastrointestinal tissue(like cardiac tissue) or could I use the mice protocol that includes elevation of cytokines in gastrointestinal tissue? What is the best intrapertonneal injection protocol for Lipopolysaccharides challenge that will be enough for induction of cytokines in colonic and intestinal tisses??
