We want to image actin activity of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) over a period of 2 weeks without sacrificing them. We want MSCs to be stably expressing the fluorescent proteins at the actin filament so we can observe the cell morphology.
Are there particular cell lines or animal lines we could purchase for that purpose(we would like to avoid doing transfection/infection as we don't have much experience in molecular biology)? If not, please direct us to any reference articles or any laboratory that have these MSCs?

Thanks. But seems to me this method is too unique and not very easy to go with from the first place. Is there any other common method? As I know that many people study GFP-actin. Just don't know if those are good for rat MSCs.
Also, the article you sent is about the STED technique which is different from the regular fluorescence microscopy. Perhaps the infrared dye works best for this technique only while it is super dim using regular microscope.
