Does PCA actually make sense, if you can get two different answers for the same data set using either the covariance or correlation matrix, when both matrices are trying to achieve the same goal?  I understand that correlation-based PCA is very convenient, but how reliable is it? Please, i need information on the better matrix to adopt in running PCA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks
