Recently in developing countries, there have been series of debate on the measure of productivity of researchers/academics. Many advocate the use of metric method like impact factor of publication, H-index of researcher while some opined that number of publications, number of postgraduates produced and research grants awarded should be used. Is there any internationally accepted standard for the evaluation of productivity of academics/researchers that is not skewed?
