Im trying to find out enhancement of heat transfer in a pipe due to using twisted tape insert in ANSYS Fluent. but if i use cut cell mesh, the rate of heat transfer in not same as normal tetrahedral mesh for same element sizing and inflation layer. Now which one meshing technique is better for predicting the heat transfer phenomenon?

you should check with theoretical or experimental results to find out which one is better.

are you sure? In a turbulent pipe flow problem, cut cell shows 10% error with dittus boelter corelation for nusselt number. but when I used tetrahedral element (unstructed) , it shows 1-2% error.I did not use boundary inflation layer in both case.
