To study the effect of web initial out-of-flatness on the test girder shear strength, nonlinear deformation analyses—including both geometric and material nonlinearity—were performed using the modified Riks solution strategy. The models were modified to include initial geometric imperfections in the web by scaling the
geometry of the modes from the linear elastic buckling analysis and using them for the web initial geometric imperfections.
