Trizol method is the best for getting good yields of RNA. It gives better yield than any kit that I have used. First-timers may face the problem of higher amounts of salt, but this can be easily overcome by given repeated wash with 70% ethanol at least 2 or 3 times.
I have never used it. But i believe you will have to use an additional phenol-chloroform step in this protocol. This step is skipped in the Trizol protocol.
yes, an additional phenol chloroform step is required in this protocol, but I would like to try this method for sure, because for trizol reagent another kit would be required for which we don't have appropriate funds.
we used Trizol for RNA extraction, Chloroform, ISopropanol and ethanol (70 %) wash, all the tips and pipettes should be sterilized, work area should be wiped with ethanol or any sterilizing agent.
